About Deescalator

I'm Pol, a software engineer who got tired of having the same arguments with my partner Lisa.

Like many couples, we'd find ourselves in circular fights that went nowhere - the same triggers, the same patterns, the same frustration. As someone who solves problems with code, I wondered: could we approach this more systematically?

That's how Deescalator was born in April 2024. Lisa and I became the first users, logging our conflicts and discovering patterns we never noticed before. What started as a personal experiment became something we wanted to share.

In summer 2025, I made the decision to focus fully on Deescalator instead of taking a traditional full-time job. The early feedback from couples like us convinced me this tool could help others break their own cycles.

When I'm not building Deescalator, Lisa and I create content about our travels and adventures on Youtube, Instagram, and our blog. We believe in documenting life's journeys - whether they're around the world or navigating relationships.

Deescalator isn't just a product I built - it's a tool Lisa and I use every day to communicate better.
